I had surgery at Scott Memorial today. I would recommend them to any family or friend. Professional, knowledgeable & very kind & helpful. The facility was very clean. My surgeon, anesthesiologist, nurses, & the support staff were terrific & it was so convenient since I live here. Highly recommend.
They have most imagining and lab work you could ask for and a decent emergency room. They will not give pain medicine unless you absolutely need it so don't try
I owe the life of my father to Dr. Pace and the staff at Scott County Memorial Hospital. They may be small, but they are mighty. We had excellent care and consideration. I'm glad we didn't transfer Dad to a metropolitan hospital because it was "bigger"...it couldn't have been better!
This place was a joke when I was a child, they still are. Apparently my records were destroyed. Ok. The lady who told me this was very rude.
The doctor, Cook I believe, was able to diagnose and treat my swollen leg from three feet away, without removing the bandage from the wound, and he accomplished this astonishing feat of modern medicine in less than 2 minutes! If all doctors could do this we could do away with most hospitals and then using this nearly superhuman ability treat most patients via phone, web, or maybe just telepathy! See we could fix the health care system, all you have to do is go to "Dr." Cook's seminars on modern medical procedures and practices from "a far". Just so you don't think I am claiming that the lack of care was because of a prejudice; the only profile I fit is middle class, insured, and American!
